Enjoying: Filey Bay No1 English Single Malt in Sweden

After just two months on sale, Filey Bay Flagship is officially the No1 English single malt whisky in Sweden, 2023.

Co-founder and MD, David Thompson added: “After such a short time on sale in Sweden, it is fantastic to know that a little piece of Yorkshire has been so well received ”

“It’s very rewarding to know that the character and maturity of our spirit is generating major excitement in the industry.”

Filey Bay is the first single malt whisky made in, and of, Yorkshire. Why ‘of Yorkshire’? Because it’s created by us from field to bottle, here on the coast.

It’s official: English Whisky has achieved Geographical Indication (GI) status.

This is great news for our industry. A Legal GI that recognises English Whisky for its quality, provenance and authenticity.

For us, it’s validation of how we've done things from day one with our "field-to-bottle" process…

100% home-grown regeneratively farmed barley from our family farm at Hunmanby Grange.

Water sourced directly from chalk aquifers below the farm.

Distilled and matured right here on the Yorkshire coast.
