Filey Bay Farmhouse: Finding a home from home in Germany

As we celebrate 10 years of distilling, we are expanding our footprint in one of our strongest overseas markets.

Working alongside our German importer, Schlumberger, we have officially launched the Filey Bay Farmhouse programme in Germany.

Since we first launched in the German market in 2021, the response to our field-to-bottle single malt has been fantastic. The Farmhouse programme is about taking our Yorkshire hospitality and creating a dedicated space for those drinkers specifically in Germany.

As our co-founder David Thompson puts it: “It is a place where you can literally take your boots off, settle down in a chair, and pour a dram. It’s our home from home in Germany.”

We have partnered with six fantastic specialist retailers and venues to become our inaugural German Farmhouses:

The First Farmhouse Exclusive Bottling

To mark the launch, we invited the Farmhouse teams to select their own exclusive bottling during a tour earlier this spring. The clear winner was a Oloroso sherry single cask

Distilled in November 2018 and bottled in July 2026, this single cask yielded just 312 bottles. It is available exclusively through our German Farmhouse partners.

Michaela from the distillery team is heading out to Germany next week. She will be joining Thomas Plaue from Schlumberger to present the new bottling at a series of launch events between the 18th and 23rd of October.
