Double Award Shortlisting
It is always a good week when hard work gets recognised and we are currently celebrating a double shortlisting here at the distillery in Hunmanby.
Our Pot Still Coffee Shop has reached the final of the Café of the Year category at the Yorkshire Post Tourism Awards. For most of our visitors, the coffee shop is the beginning and end of their distillery experience, and this nomination is a direct reflection of our hospitality team’s relentless hard work.
At the same time, our Cream Liqueur has been shortlisted for Best Wine and Spirit at the 22nd annual Deliciously Yorkshire Taste Awards, which remains the largest food and drink awards programme in the region.
Being shortlisted for not one, but two prestigious awards is a huge moment for us. Both awards champion the very best of Yorkshire’s tourism and food and drink producers, and we are incredibly honoured to be included in both lineups.
We are up against some fantastic local businesses. In the Taste Awards, we are alongside Goose Beck Vineyard, Rhucello Ltd., Whitby Distillery, and Wicstun Distillery. For the Yorkshire Post awards, the coffee shop is shortlisted alongside Birdhouse Tea Bar & Kitchen, Empire Café, Kofi&Co Ltd, Swinton Bivouac Café, and The Riverfront Cafe Bar.
The Taste Awards winners will be announced at the Pavilions of Harrogate on Tuesday, 3rd November. The Yorkshire Post Awards will follow with a ceremony in Leeds on the 30th of November.
