Filey Bay Whisky Tasting at RSPB Bempton Cliffs
This summer, join us at RSPB Bempton Cliffs for a clifftop whisky tasting experience overlooking the spectacular Yorkshire coastline.
We have teamed up with the expert guides at the RSPB for an evening walk paired with four exceptional drams of Filey Bay single malt. As the sun begins to lower over the bay, you will take in the incredible coastal views and watch thousands of seabirds returning to their nesting ledges.
Four Viewpoints, Four Drams:
Throughout the guided walk, we’ll pause at four different viewpoints. At each stop, the RSPB team will share their knowledge of the local wildlife, while we pour and discuss a different expression of our Yorkshire whisky.
This specific location means a lot to us. The Gannet is the emblem of Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, and Bempton Cliffs is home to England’s largest mainland Gannet colony. Enjoying a dram while watching these birds glide over the North Sea is a brilliant way to experience our whisky in its natural environment.
After the walk, we will return to the Visitor Centre where you can chat with the team and browse a selection of our bottles to take home.

What to wear: The clifftops are fully exposed to the North Sea, so the site can be cold at any time of year. Warm layers, waterproofs, and sturdy walking boots are essential.
-
The Terrain: Expect a good amount of walking. You need to be comfortable navigating uneven, grassy paths that can become muddy after wet weather.
