Growing: Harvest 2025 Complete!

It’s a rare sight indeed for the harvest to be wrapped up this early in August, but thanks to the run of dry, sunny days, Tom, Charlie and the team at Hunmanby Grange Farm have made the most of the weather.

The barley from these fields will soon be heading down the road to @muntonsmalt in Bridlington, before making its way back to us to begin its journey in the process of becoming Filey Bay Single Malt Whisky and into beer at @woldtopbrew.

Next, the fields that will have spring barley, will be drilled with a variety of cover crops, keeping them green through winter and working hard beneath the surface. Each plant plays its own role in replenishing and regenerating the soil, it’s our way of looking after the land, keeping it in the best possible condition for next year’s harvest.
