Filey Bay Whisky Tasting – North Yorkshire Moors Railway

We’ve teamed up with North Yorkshire Moors Railway to bring Filey Bay Whisky tastings to the North Yorkshire Pullman Dining Experience.

Settle in for a delicious two course meal, with starters and mains served on the outward journey from Grosmont to Pickering. On your return journey, you’ll enjoy a selection of Filey Bay whiskies, along with handmade chocolates. Enjoy a sensory experience as you meander through the beautiful North York Moors National Park. 

The return service departs from Grosmont Station, travelling along the 18-mile heritage line to Pickering Station, and returning to Grosmont Station. The total experience time is approximately 2h 45m, departing at 12:35 pm.

The Filey Bay Whisky Tasting Menu

As you embark on your visit, you’ll start with a choice of Chef’s Homemade Spring Vegetable Soup, Chicken Liver Pate, Smoked Salmon & Haddock Parcel (pictured) or Salt-baked Heritage Beetroot Salad (evening service only), served with a selection of artisan breads.

For your main course, Slow Braised Rib of Beef, Oven-Roast Chicken Supreme, or Vegetable Wellington, all accompanied by seasonal vegetables and potatoes.

On the return journey from Pickering, you’ll sample a selection of whisky, curated by our Brand Ambassador Amy Teasdale, and handmade chocolates from our wonderful long-term supplier Park House Barns.
