Pouring Yorkshire single malt in the heart of Scotland
This Saturday, Amy and Joe are heading north to Glasgow’s Whisky Festival at Hampden Park to pour Filey Bay Yorkshire Single Malt.
Heading to Scotland is always a highlight for us. Whisky is part of Scotland’s story, so standing in Scotland’s national stadium with a bottle of Yorkshire single malt is something we’re really proud of.
The festival
Glasgow’s Whisky Festival is a celebration of whisky “by Glasgow, for Glasgow”, with a focus on the city’s local distilleries and independent bottlers. It also makes room for whisky from across Scotland and the rest of the world. This year it runs across two sessions on Saturday 7 November, with more than 60 exhibitors, other spirits and gifts. Both sessions have sold out, which tells you everything about the appetite for it.
It’s also raising money for a good cause. This year’s charity raffle supports Scottish Women’s Aid.
The people behind the stand
Amy Teasdale, our Brand Ambassador, and Joe Clark, our Whisky Director, will be on the stand all day. If you’ve ever wondered how a whisky gets from a field on the Yorkshire coast into your glass, this is your chance to ask.
Thank you, Royal Mile Whiskies
We’re pouring with the support of our friends at Royal Mile Whiskies, who are the festival’s official retailer. Thank you for having us along and for helping us put Filey Bay in front of so many people who love whisky as much as we do.
Come and say hello
If you have a ticket, come and try a dram, tell us what you think, and let us know what Glasgow makes of Yorkshire single malt.
Can’t make it? You can find out more about Filey Bay or book a visit to the distillery at Distillery Tours.
