Whisky Fringe Festival 2026
Over the last few days, Joe and Amy headed north of the border to pour Filey Bay Single Malt Whisky at one of the most respected events in the industry: Whisky Fringe Festival
The Whisky Fringe was launched in 2001 by the team at Royal Mile Whiskies, one of Scotland’s most respected independent whisky merchants. It was created to coincide with the world-famous Edinburgh Festival Fringe that takes over the city every August.
Rather than being a massive, corporate trade show, it was designed by whisky enthusiasts for whisky enthusiasts. Over the last two decades, it has built a reputation as a proper “bucket list” event in the whisky calendar. It is famous for its relaxed, knowledgeable crowd and for tickets selling out almost instantly, usually within minutes of going on sale.
As it turns out, the weekend marked a significant milestone for us, and for the wider English whisky scene. We learned that we are the first English whisky distillery to ever exhibit at the show in its entire history. It is a real privilege to be the ones to cross that border and represent English single malt at such a legendary Scottish event.
