During the last week, David showcased Filey Bay German Exclusive #1 at Whisky-Messe- The Village in Nuremberg with our German distributor Schlumberger, while Jenni shared Filey Bay with Italian partners Cuzziol, including a visit to the Beer and Food Attraction Show in Rimini with Wold Top Brewery, talking all things whisky, farm and beer. Amy and Joe spent five busy days in Holland hosting tastings and training with the team at De Monnik Dranken.

A huge thank you to all our distributors who make it possible to bring Filey Bay to whisky fans across the globe!

Today history was made here in North Yorkshire. The first ever 10-year-old Single Malt Whisky from Yorkshire was poured and enjoyed at Day 1 of our Open Weekend!

Today is International Friendship Day. There is no better story of friendship than the release of Many Hands with our friends down the road at Cooper King Distillery.

Britain's oldest wine and spirits merchant, Berry Bros. & Rudd, has unveiled its 2026 Odyssey collection - The Auld and the Bold - a celebration of the dialogue between Scotland's great whisky traditions and a new generation of distillers redefining the category around the world.

We’re delighted to announce that Spirit of Yorkshire Single Cask #2231 has been chosen to be a part of this amazing collection.

This release marks the second Independent Bottling of our whisky from Berry Bros. & Rudd, and we take huge pride in sharing it with you.

Felix Dear, Spirits Curator at Berry Bros. & Rudd, hand-selected the cask straight from our warehouse alongside our Whisky Director, Joe Clark. They scoured our warehouse and selected an exceptional 9-year-old ex-Moscatel Sherry cask.

57.1% vol | 70cl

Tasting Notes: Peach flesh softens the edges, while beneath it run darker threads of honey, ginger and a light dusting of chocolate.

Filey Bay 'The First 10 Year Old'

Let’s take a closer look at the whisky itself.

Ex-Bourbon Cask #45 is one of the earliest casks we ever laid down, filled back in July 2016. David and Tom were on the stills and filling casks that summer, working with the keen guidance of the Dr. Jim Swan, who was so integral to our early years.

Now bottled at cask strength, the spirit is beautifully light, fruity, and complex, with flavours of barley sugar, biscuit, citrus, and caramel.

This 10-year-old release is only available as part of our ‘Decade of Distilling’ Masterclass at Open Weekend 2026. Your masterclass ticket also includes your full Open Weekend entry and everything that goes with it.
