Enjoying: Filey Bay Flagship Wins Gold
Filey Bay Flagship has won a Gold Medal in the Single Malt Non-Age Statement category at The W Club Members’ Choice Awards 2024!
The W Club Members’ Choice Awards are judged by whisky drinkers nationwide, in Scotland, Wales and England. This is a huge achievement for us, placing us alongside some of the biggest names in world whisky.
The awards, hosted by The Whisky Shop, are uniquely judged by their W Club members. Each member provided honest ratings in blind tastings, free from any influence of brand, style, or price.
W Club Manager, Luke Crowley-Holland said ” We categorise based on mash-bill and style, eschewing borders to bring quality to the forefront of people’s focus. This is reflected by the category wins and gold medals picked up by Bushmills 10 and 21-Year-Old, and Filey Bay Flagship. We ran over 50 sessions with W Club members from London to Edinburgh.
The overall winner in the Single Malt (Non-Age Statement) category was Glen Scotia Double Cask. With ourselves (Filey Bay Flagship) Glen Scotia Victoriana and Talisker Port Ruighe picking up a gold medal.

Filey Bay Flagship, is the essence of our Distillery character. The perfect introduction to the Filey Bay style. If someone has an established palate, there are layers of flavour and nuance from the ex-Bourbon casks. On the flip side, if they are new to whisky, it is light, creamy and welcoming – a fantastic entry to whisky.

Light, creamy and fruity with flavours of citrus, caramel, honey and vanilla.
Maturation & Casks
Filey Bay Flagship is full term maturation in ex-Bourbon casks from Kentucky in the USA, which impart the honey, creamy and light notes that Bourbon is known for, to our single malt whisky.
