The distillery and The Pot Still Coffee shop have made it to the finals of the Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards 2024 (REYTAs)!

We’ve been shortlisted in three categories: the Remarkable Cuppa, the Remarkable Local Producer, and the Remarkable Taste Awards.

We welcome people to the distillery and The Pot Still Coffee shop all year round, its great for us to recognised by tourism chiefs in the region and we look forward to the awards dinner at Bridlington Spa on 14th November 2024.

$Filey Bay Flagship has always been made using a solera-style approach, more accurately, a fractional blending method. After five years, it’s become known in-house as our Flagship System. Since the first batch in 2020, it has steadily evolved: every time we bottle Flagship, we replace it with older casks carefully selected from the warehouse. We choose not to chill filter our whisky. This means we keep all the natural oils and flavours that develop during maturation, giving our Filey Bay single malt its full texture and character.

With harvest now complete and the dry weather holding, Charlie has been out direct drilling cover crops on the future spring barley fields. These diverse crops will keep the soil green and healthy all winter, each playing a role in its regeneration. Come October, Charlie will be back out, sowing the remaining fields with winter barley and winter wheat.
