We’re delighted to announce our very first Filey Bay Partner Bar: The Library, the elegant upstairs space at McMillans of Malton, right in the heart of Yorkshire’s food capital.

This new collaboration brings together two independent Yorkshire businesses with a shared a love for craft, character, and conversation.

A Dedicated Filey Bay Experience

From now on, The Library will be pouring a range of Filey Bay single malts all year round. Alongside our core range, you’ll also find special releases by the dram, whiskies you won’t be able to try anywhere else.

More Than a Bar

Together, we’ll be hosting a regular programme of events: from intimate tastings and seasonal launches, to whisky storytelling sessions and evenings for those just beginning their journey. It’s all about creating a space where everyone from curious newcomers to long-time enthusiasts can enjoy whisky in a relaxed, characterful setting.

This partnership is about more than just great whisky. It’s about community, connection, and celebrating Yorkshire craft. The Libraries’ beautiful speakeasy-style bar offers the perfect backdrop for exploring the field-to-bottle story behind Filey Bay.

The Soft Launch

We kicked things off on 29th July with an intimate evening hosted by our Whisky Director Joe Clark, Brand Ambassador Amy Teasdale, and James McMillan himself. Guests enjoyed exclusive drams, cocktails, and conversations to set the tone for what’s to come.
